Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to what families ask us most about home nursing and care in Qatar. If your question is not here, message us — we would rather answer it directly.

What home nursing services do you provide in Qatar?
We provide home nursing, elderly care, newborn and baby care, child care, patient care, special needs care, post-hospital care, and travel nursing. Care is delivered at home in Doha and the surrounding areas, and covers everything from wound care and vital-sign monitoring to help with hygiene, feeding and mobility.
Can I arrange a nurse for an elderly family member?
Yes. Elderly care is one of our main services. Tell us what your relative needs help with — washing, dressing, moving around, medication, health monitoring — and how many hours a day, and we will arrange care to match. Some families need a few hours each morning; others need someone present overnight or throughout the day.
Do you provide 24-hour home care?
We arrange care by the visit, by the shift, and on a continuous basis including overnight, depending on what the situation requires and what our team can accommodate at the time. Tell us the cover you need and we will confirm what we can arrange.
Do you provide newborn care at home?
Yes. Our carers help with bathing, changing, feeding support, sterilising bottles, monitoring the baby's general condition and temperature, and establishing sleep routines. They also support the mother's recovery after childbirth and show new parents practical newborn handling.
Can you provide care after hospital discharge?
Yes. Post-hospital care is a service we provide regularly. We follow the discharge instructions issued by the hospital or treating doctor — wound care, medication schedules, mobility support and monitoring — and keep written records the family and doctor can review.
Do you provide nursing support for children?
Yes. We provide child care at home, including health observation, temperature checks, personal care and support with daily routines. We also provide nurses to nurseries, schools and organisations that need qualified cover for children in their care.
Can a nurse accompany a patient during travel?
Yes. We provide qualified nurses and carers who accompany elderly travellers, patients travelling for treatment, children and newborns, and people with special needs — through the airport, during the flight and at the destination for the agreed period. This service needs arranging in advance.
Which areas of Qatar do you serve?
Our office is on Al Mansoura Street in Doha and we serve Doha and the surrounding areas. If you are further out, contact us with your location and we will tell you honestly whether we can cover it.
How can I request a nurse?
Message us on WhatsApp or call any of our numbers. Describe the situation in your own words — who needs care, what kind of help, and roughly what hours. There is no form to complete first, though you are welcome to use the enquiry form on our contact page if you prefer to write.
How quickly can care be arranged?
It depends on the type of care and our team's availability at the time. Straightforward requests can often be arranged quickly; specialised requirements and travel nursing need more notice. Contact us with your situation and we will tell you realistically what is possible.
Can I contact you through WhatsApp?
Yes — WhatsApp is the easiest way to reach us and the way most families prefer. Tap any WhatsApp button on this site and your message will already mention the service you were reading about.
Do you speak Arabic and English?
Yes. Our team works in both Arabic and English, and we serve Qatari and expatriate families alike. Let us know which language your family prefers when you contact us.
Does Al Rahma diagnose conditions or prescribe medication?
No. We provide nursing and care services. Diagnosis, prescribing and treatment decisions rest with the patient's doctor, and our team works within its professional scope and to the instructions the treating doctor has given.
